​​You likely received some communication about your plan’s renewal and why you’re eligible. If so, please refer to the communication you received for more information. 

​Individual & Family 

​If you’ve gone through a life change, like moving, getting married or changing your job, you may be able to renew or change your health insurance plan. These life changes qualify you for the Special Enrollment Period. During Special Enrollment, you normally have 60 days from your life event date to pick a new plan and finish enrolling. You can also enroll without having gone through a life change during the Open Enrollment Period. 

Medicare (65+) 

​If you’re about to turn 65 and want to stay with BCBSMT, you may be able to choose Medicare coverage. This is called the Initial Enrollment Period. If you’re already enrolled in Medicare, you can renew your coverage by continuing to pay for your current plan or pick new coverage options during the Annual Enrollment Period.
