Questions To Ask When Choosing a Provider
Contact doctors or hospitals on your list and ask for more information. To get started, here are some questions to ask:
- What is your training and education?
- How long have you been in practice?
- Are you board-certified? (This requires specialty training.)
When researching a potential hospital or facility, consider:
- Is the facility easy to get to when you and a loved one need to visit?
- Does it specialize in treating your health problem? If so, ask about their training and success treating it.
- How many cases like yours are seen there each year? What are the results?
- Does it provide the types of testing you will need?
