Bariatric Surgeries are weight-loss surgeries. They are also called bariatric or metabolic surgery. Bariatric surgery is done only when diet and exercise haven't worked, or when you have major health problems because of your weight. All forms of weight-loss surgery are major procedures that can have risks and side effects. You must also make long-term healthy changes to your diet and exercise to loose and keep weight off, even after your surgery.
